Evan Kegler

Evan Kegler was born and raised in Inverness, FL.  After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, Mr. Kegler went on to attend Stetson University College of Law.  He graduated from Stetson in May of 2019, and later that fall, became licensed to practice law in Florida.

Prior to joining VCFJ Law, Mr. Kegler worked for an insurance defense firm in Tampa, FL which specialized primarily in Florida Workers’ Compensation and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) claims.

While working with his prior firm, Mr. Kegler aggressively defended Workers’ Compensation cases, including First Responder/Presumption claims.  As a result of this experience, Mr. Kegler attended numerous Final Hearings before Judges of Compensation Claims throughout Florida, and handled several appeals that were brought before the First District Court of Appeal.

Mr. Kegler has dedicated the majority of his practice to the area of Workers’ Compensation and has memberships with the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, the Tampa Bay Workers’ Compensation Inns of Court, and the Florida Workers’ Compensation Fraud Taskforce.
