Michael Schwartz was born in South Florida before moving to Lakeland, Florida in 2002. Mr. Schwartz graduated from, George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Florida in May 2007 and continues to reside in Lakeland with his wife, daughter, and two beagles. Both Mr. Schwartz and his wife have strong family ties to Lakeland and look forward to building a life together in the Lakeland area.

Mr. Schwartz graduated from the University of Central Florida in May 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and a minor in Business Administration. Continuing his journey up and down the I-4 corridor, Mr. Schwartz attended Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida and graduated in May 2014. While in law school, Mr. Schwartz spent 2 years as a law clerk for Liberty Mutual in their Tampa office. Mr. Schwartz gained invaluable experience learning the intricacies of defending employers and insurance carriers as well as gaining valuable courtroom experience while participating in several jury trials.

After graduation from Stetson, Mr. Schwartz was admitted to the Florida Bar in September 2014. Mr. Schwartz spent his first year as an associate at a Tampa law firm representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation defense and general liability defense. Mr. Schwartz joined Vecchio, Carrier, Feldman & Johannessen, P.A. in November 2015 and is now a Senior Associate. Mr. Schwartz’s practice is comprised of insurance defense litigation, representing carriers in first party property claims, automobile negligence actions, products liability actions, workers’ compensation actions, and premises liability claims in state and federal court. Mr. Schwartz also represents clients in complex business and commercial litigation, construction litigation, and workers’ compensation defense. Mr. Schwartz is admitted to the Federal Bar of the Middle District of Florida and is a member of the Worker’s Compensation Section of the Florida Bar.
